Vaishali Thakkar is an Indian theatre and television actress. She portrayed the comic role of Praveena in the Star Plus TV series Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, the supporting role of Damini in the Colors TV TV series Uttaran and Kusum in the Star Plus television series Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.

Career

Vaishali Thakkar was born in Mumbai. Her father worked in Gujarati theatre, and she first appeared in Gujarati plays. She had a role in the TV series Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, and then in Baa Bahoo Aur Baby where she played Praveena. She subsequently appeared as Damini Ragendra Bharti in the Colors TV series, Uttaran.

Thakkar is fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

Noted television artiste Vaishali Thakkar allegedly died by suicide on Sunday. The ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ famed actress hanged herself to death in her house in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, police said.

According to local police, residents, on suspicion, alerted the cops, who then opened the door of her house in Saibag Colony. They found her hanging from the ceiling fan in her room.

“She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival. The body has been sent for a postmortem,” a police official said. “A suicide note was found in her room but its contents cannot be divulged now as the matter is under investigation,” he informed.

However, reports suggested that Thakkar died by suicide due to a love affair. The popular TV actress found the man of her dreams in Dr Abhinandan Singh, who lived in Kenya. During an interview, she hinted that she wanted to go abroad and settle down. On April 26, 2021, the actress shared glimpses of her roka ceremony on her Instagram handle.

The 30-year-old is also rumoured to be in a relationship with Kabeer K aka Ajay of Tum Hi Ho Bandhu fame. However, she denied the news and said, “It’s false news, we are just good friends.”

Vaishali made her television debut with the very popular soap opera, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ where she played the role of Sanjana. Afterwards, she appeared in more than a dozen television serials like ‘Manmohini’, ‘Super Sisters’, ‘Vish Aur Amrit’ and ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’.

Vaishali has also received the Colors’ Golden Petal Award for playing Anjali in Sasural Simar Ka. She also appeared on another popular television show, Bigg Boss.

Thakkar is a native of Mahidpur town in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh. She has been living in Indore for the past three years.

Vaishali Thakkar was born in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on July 15, 1993. She is from a humble Punjabi family in Mahidpur, a small town in the Ujjain district. During her childhood, her family relocated to Indore. Vaishali earned her bachelor’s degree from Indore’s Devi Ahilya University.

Vaishali has loved acting since she was a child. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was one of her favorite movies. When she was younger, she would watch a movie and then begin acting by donning her mother’s sari, which taught her the fundamentals of acting.

She was chosen by the Star Plus team during her campus placement, but she did not go for her first assignment since she wanted to concentrate only on her education at the time.

Early life

Vaishali Takkar was born on 15 July 1992 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, as the eldest daughter and child of the two children of H.B Takkar and Annu Takkar. She had a younger brother, Neeraj Takkar.

Career

Takkar's debut television series was Star Plus's longest running drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in which she played Sanjana from 2015 to 2016.

In 2016, she acted as Vrinda in Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

From August 2016 to December 2017, she portrayed Anjali Bharadwaj in Colors TV's Sasural Simar Ka opposite Sidharth Shivpuri and Rohan Mehra.

Takkar got engaged to her boyfriend Dr. Abhinandan Singh from Kenya on 26 April 2021. Their wedding was scheduled for June 2021, but they cancelled a month after their engagement.

Death

On 15 October 2022, Takkar committed suicide by hanging herself in her home in Tejaji Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Her body was discovered by her father on 16 October 2022. A suicide note was found in her bedroom, stating that she had been harassed by her former boyfriend. Takkar’s remains were cremated and her family donated her eyes before cremation.^[
