Emma Patterson
Emma Patterson is a character mentioned in The Last of Us Part II. She was one of the earliest leaders of the Washington Liberation Front.
Biography[]
Background[]
At some point after the Cordyceps brain infectionoutbreak, Emma was in the Seattlequarantine zone and disliked living under FEDRA and the military's rule. In response, she formed the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) with her husband Jason. They recruited several people into their group, including Marcus Wilson, Luis Sanchez, Isaac Dixon, Hugo Gonzalez and Alison Cole. Emma personally smuggled in illegal goods, falsified ration cards and committed acts of sedition against FEDRA and the military.
Sergeant Ward prioritized Jason and Emma as the top targets to capture and kill within the city. Eventually, they managed to kill them, but their downfall allowed Isaac to take over the WLF instead. Isaac subsequently assassinated three military soldiers as revenge for Jason and Emma's murder. He then led the WLF in an all-out guerrilla war against FEDRA, leading Lieutenant Carmelo Torres to call for his soldiers to evacuate the zone, meaning the WLF had successfully defeated them and avenged Emma's death.
Events of The Last of Us Part II[]
Ellie and Dina can find a note mentioning Emma when searching the city's courthouse. They can also see several wanted posters with Emma's face on them that FEDRA had distributed.
